Been out of it, again. June was an emo draining month for me. I also wonder if blogs are as big as they used to be. I have to moderate comments now thanks to spam and unwanted stuff. Anyway, here's three new pieces. One is for sale, and the others will be if they do not sell at G-Fest this weekend. The little Gillman is from a strange, obscure version of MYSTERIOUS ISLAND from 1929, that's rarely seen and then on TCM usually. I saw him in a 1970 issue of FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND and 40 years later the same summer, I painted him.

Superb work, Bob. I especially like the Gillman painting - has to be one of my favourites of the work you've posted up this year so far. I love the pallete of greens and blues you've used.
Sorry to hear about the blog spam etc. I hope it doesn't dissuade you from keeping it up - there must be loads of genuine fans out there who, like me, are regular visitors. It's always a real privilege and delight to see what you're working on.
Hey Bob, wonderful work as always. I too am a huge Godzilla movie. I have them all on DVD. I got a question though, to be able to paint the Godzilla and the others did you have to purchase the rights to do so? The reason I ask is a couple of months ago I did a painting based on the movie "Trick r' Treat" and a few people have been accusing me of being a thief, although the whole time I did it, I gave credit to the movie. I did it for my own personal satisfaction, since I am really fond of that movie.
I know your busy as heck all the time, but if you could take time to explain to me how this works, I would really appreciate it. I want to do a painting of the Joker and Godzilla too, but If I am going to get accused of stealing, It just ain't worth it.

Great Godzilla pic...a favorite...I used to have a Rodan toy that was giant compared to most other toys of the day...grasping claws, internal rubber band activated wings...it went with the giant Godzilla toy but looked much better than zilla...
