This one is something I did in December, based on a Fredric Edwin Church painting of the MAine Coast, and looking at it again, I realized it would look better with some dragons swooping down as seagulls would.

That is a sweet little painting, 8x10 and you still get such an atmosphere! I love the light coming through the wings of the dragons!
Thank you sir!! Yeah. Sometimes you have to borrow from the masters, and, it's cool to give them the credit in part. The dragons seemed to be just what the painting was needing to start with. I like that kind of translucent membranous light. I'm doing lots more-it's a great way to study light AND paint dragons!!
I agree! The textures of the clouds and rocks along with the sea foam are spectacular.

Hey! Thanks again. I LOVE painting the sea but through Church's eyes...the dragons seemed to be just what it needed..
